Title:Literature Review

Content:I had done my review in several projects.The list of the name is shown below:

• Development of Portable Power Supply Using Hot Water.

        Source from thermal energy

        Objective of this project is to design and develop a thermoelectric generator battery charger that           uses hot water source as the direct input power

•  Streetlight Using LED With Rechargeable Source

          Source from solar energy

         Objective of this project is to understand the operation of solar technology to provide the                     improvement in street light and LED can be used as street lighting for changed the mercury and           sodium lamp in order to save the consumption of electrical energy.

•  Portable Solar LED

          Source from solar energy

          Objective of this project is to design a system for charge battery in emergency case during                 outdoor activities or travel and so on.



The detail about the project will be explained in the proposal report later.=)

WEEK 6

Title:Research about generator

For this week,i would like to search about the type of generator.Finally,i found that the suitable type of generator for mt project is DC generatot.

From the research,generator is a machine which converts mechanical energy (or power) into electrical energy (or power). This energy conversion is based on the principle of production of dynamically induced emf.


According to Faraday Law, when a conductor moves in a magnetic field (thereby cutting the magnetic flux lines), a dynamically induced emf is produced in the conductor. The magnitude of generated emf can be given by emf equation of DC generator. If a closed path is provided to the moving conductor then generated emf causes a current to flow in the circuit.


Hence, the basic essential parts of an electric generator are :

• A magnetic field 

• A conductor or conductors which can so move as to cut the flux.
